Yup, ripped the hands on this one. It's good to be back! 

I went to a Raw Foods party this evening with a friend of mine. She's been bugging me to go with her for months. It's once a month, second Thursday of the month. The woman that hosts it is Cherie Calbom, she's a nutritionist. She's written like 5 or 6 books on juicing, eating raw, and detoxing. It was just awesome. Everyone brought a raw food dish. Cherie made raw tostadas and they were DELICIOUS! I got her recipe for how to make corn chips raw. They were so good. can't wait to try them out at home. And my friend brought a raw carrot cake. Carrot cake has always been my favorite!!! And her recipe was fabulous. It had pineapple and nuts and coconut in it. It even had a raw icing. SOOOO delicious. My eyes were opened to a few new things for sure. I would never go totally raw as I love and believe in eating meat. I need too much protein to make it on raw foods alone. But I already eat a lot of fruits and veggies. I am going to test out some new recipes that are raw and see how it goes. It's kinda just a matter of how you put things together in a dish. You aren't cooking any of the veggies so it's a bit different.
